Handcarved ebony, 9ct yellow gold, fine white diamonds, red silk cord
The handcarved ebony pieces are usually created by master-craftsmen in Jaipur as templates at the beginning of the process of commissioning gold work. The Temple collection re-evaluates these ebony maquettes by creating lasting, fine quality pieces combining 9ct yellow gold with precious stones.
The Double Temple Necklace marries two temple domes together, Eastern and Western, in a nod to Le Corbusier’s iconic work in Chandigarh, India. Le Corbusier’s centrepiece civic buildings are celebrated examples of his work, but they create, in the reflected waters, a complete image of a classic Hindu temple. The Double Temple Necklace can be worn long or in shorter clusters like a corsage.
