22ct gold dome, vitreous enamel, polished emerald, black spinel, peridot, handcarved ebony & 18ct gold beads, natural Indian polished ruby drop, handmade rayon tassel
Handmade in Jaipur, the dome is an Uzbek temple top, its tile details engraved under a layer of vitreous enamel, a technique that in Europe is done by machine (guilloché) but here is executed by hand. The granulation, or small raised droplets, over the surface of the enamel are 24ct gold. Inside the dome is a hint of pattern from an Ottoman garment in the Topkapi Museum collection.
The piece will not be remade, and comes in a museum archive box with a signed and editioned guarantee
