HIGH SARI

Alice’s first High Sari piece was created as a bespoke commission for a client as a unique gift to his partner. Giving free reign to her imagination, Alice later began to develop a series of 6 one of a kind jewels drawing on this original commission, which became High Sari, the fullest expression of her vision for the Sari collection.

Inspired by the patterning on a piece from the V&A collection that incorporated classic Indian chintz into a Westernized dress, the original bespoke ring also played on the shape of the traditional Indian archer’s ring to create a set of jackets that could be worn separately or together with the centre ring for a statement piece. Working with the superlative American lapidary Jean Noel Soni, they created a rose garnet centre stone, faced with the date of birth of the wearer’s children, as well as the date the couple first met.

Drawing these ideas in to the High Sari collection of one of a kind pieces, Alice launched the group with Victoria Lampley’s The Stax at Sotheby’s Palm Beach in the Spring of 2022. A single jewel remains from this first group. Now sold, the pieces can be remade to commission but with their own unique stones and colours, ensuring that no two jewels are alike. The jewels will be delivered with their own certification and leather presentation box.
