Handmade in the UK, the Candy Lacquer collection is inspired by the traditional techniques of Japanese lacquer work, and their striking simplicity and blocks of colour. Candy Lacquer bands can be made-to-measure in a variety of colour selections for the lacquer.
The collection is cast and then hand lacquered in the UK. Like the Memphis collection, Candy Lacquer enables the wearer to create totemic stacks of colour. The cold lacquer gives the enamel strength as well as offering an unlimited palette, and the pieces can be worn together or next to client’s existing jewels to add flashes of vibrant colour.
The Candy Lacquer collection can be made to measure for engagement rings and wedding bands, where clients can choose stones and colours to order, and Alice is regularly commissioned to recreate heirloom pieces into new jewellery in this style. Candy Lacquer can also be ordered in Fairtrade gold.
