Taking inspiration from the lacquer techniques of Burma, China and Japan, the newest additions to Alice Cicolini’s celebrated Memphis collection incorporate large strokes of colour, focusing on the black, red and orange tones that are most celebrated in these techniques.
Alice Cicolini’s Memphis collection is entirely made in the UK, in the studio of one of Hatton Garden’s last pattern makers trained to create original models by hand. Bringing a maker’s sensibility to production, the pieces are cast in 14ct gold, then handset and lacquered in London.
