Handmade in London by master goldsmiths in Hatton Garden, the Alice Cicolini Jacobean collection celebrates the tessellated patterns of Jacobean architecture, whilst deploying the cutting edge of printing technology to create striking jewellery forms that play with the tension between ancient and modern.
The collection also explores the princess cut, a shape first realised in London in the 1960s, and which Alice has set in a riot of detailed pattern, bringing a freshness to this popular gemstone shape.

The Jacobean collection launched at the end of June 2021 exclusively with Twist. A limited edition of 8 + 4 artist proofs, Jacobean is also available through Carpenters Workshop Jewellery.
Alice is regularly inspired by the way in which ideas, techniques and motifs travel across vast landscapes to reappear in entirely different cultures and places, and her work frequently juxtaposes forms and patterns across geographical boundaries and eras. Jacobean was born from the connection she made between the wooden ceilings in the Red Fort in Lahore and their counterparts in Hampton Court Palace, a reminder that the globalization of ideas has centuries old roots.
The collection launched exclusively with Twist in the US and Carpenters Workshop Jewellery in the UK. This initial colourway is produced in an edition of 8; Twist carry edition 1 and Carpenters carry edition 2 unless otherwise indicated. Editions 3-8 are available directly from our studio. The latest neon pink & cornflower blue colourway was launched in the UK through Liberty London and is now available in an unlimited number.
Made to the highest level of production quality here in the UK, the Jacobean collection pieces are created to last. With the correct levels of care these durable enamel pieces should wear in the same way as gold jewellery, with the added advantage that many of the styles in this collection can have the colours changed should client’s wish to have a refreshment.
The Jacobean collection can be made to measure for engagement rings and wedding bands, where clients can choose stones and colours to order, and Alice is regularly commissioned to recreate client’s heirloom pieces into new bespoke jewellery in this style.
