14ct yellow gold, parti blue sapphire, lacquer enamel
One of a Color. Currently available at Dover Street Market
(Contact for New Edition: Made to order in 8-10 weeks)
Unveiling the latest in Alice's "One of a Colour" series - the new Sari Bandhani Ring in parti blue & white sapphire and lavender enamel is now available for purchase. Alice's passion for colour manifests in a love for coloured stones that have strong bold tones, or unique qualities in their presentation that distinguish. This sapphire runs from pale cornflower to white though the stone, giving it special life and interest.
Building upon the initial iteration of this design in transparent black enamel, the ring has undergone a progressive evolution - from the integration of a hot pink ceramic with a transparent enamel, it now manifests in the subdued charm of opaque lavender enamel. Each adaptation introduces a distinct character, where the enamel draws different nuances from the stones, either in bold opposition, or where the tones of the enamel draw particular qualities from the stone - something Alice aims to achieve with every piece.
The illustrative gold dot pattern transforms into a three-dimensional structure through the texture of gold granulation around the stone, the enamel seamlessly flowing around it —a delicate balance of traditional and innovative methods, a consistent theme in Alice's jewellery.
