Our new Sari Kerala Cocktail Ring takes centre stage, with a delicious chocolate enamel and a rich chocolate “Jacinth” zircon laced with limpid undertones of pink. Alice began adding chocolate as a new neutral early in 2023; layering opaque and transparent chocolate enamel with a tonal gemstone in this piece gives the ring texture and depth.
The pattern comes from Kerala “Kasavu” saris; the pristine combination of white and gold symbolizes purity and prosperity, making them an auspiciousness choice for important milestones. The intricate weaving of the golden borders that give these sarees their name, known as ‘kasavu’, requires precision and expertise, that, like many jewellery traditions, have been passed down through generations of weavers.
The Sari collection is made in London; at least 4 people with over a century of learned skill are involved in the production of each Alice Cicolini piece.
